Laura always knew she wanted to be a beauty therapist. As soon as she was able her training began; just one day a week throughout high school. Her extracurricular activities allowed Laura to graduate with a Diploma of Beauty Therapy.

Since then, she’s only grown to love the industry more.

A lover of learning, Laura then completed a Diploma of Business, which has been hugely advantageous to her business venture. Coming from a family of business owners, opening her business felt like a no-brainer.

Laura opened Willow Day Spa in 2016. The team only use products that are good for the earth and even better for your body, cruelty-free, Australian-made and eco-friendly. They aim to keep nasties out of waterways, and far away from skin!

Running Willow Day Spa has enabled Laura to fulfil her dreams, which has always been to make a difference in her client’s’ lives.

“I look forward to seeing all of my clients and catching up on what has happened since I last saw them, it really is like an extended family!”

Laura lives by the saying, “If you love what you do you’ll never work a day in your life.” Laura’s clients see and feel her passion, and love being involved in her journey.

Laura admits that finding a work/life balance can be tough, especially when you love what you do! Timely has given Laura the structure to allow necessary time for her business as well as personal life.

“The online booking system also keeps me off my phone texting and emailing clients which allows me to use my ‘free’ time so much more wisely!”

Laura has many strings to her bow. Not only does she run Willow Day Spa, she also hand makes her own organic wellness products which she wholesales to other small businesses around Australia. This started as a hobby and ended up being a successful business alongside her day spa.

With entrepreneurial blood in her veins, Laura is constantly thinking up the next product or service that will make her business that much more special.

Laura is a big believer in following your passions and dreams.
