Welcome to the team, Ryan!
I’m chuffed to welcome Ryan Dickison to the Timely team as our first South Island based developer (so far!). Ryan brings a huge amount of software development experience to Timely, including time with Microsoft, Propellerhead and Education Perfect.
Ryan is back in sunny Dunedin with his partner Kirsten after a spell in Tucson, AZ, and is set to be the newest member of the Timely Dad Guild. His first child is due this week!
Here’s what Ryan said when we asked him why he decided to give up the freelance lifestyle for full-time at Timely:
“I’ve worked at a lot of start-ups, and Timely has the best of both worlds. It’s got the speed and energy of a start-up, combined with the authenticity of a company who wants to do things right, not just fast.”
As the number of businesses using Timely continues to grow, Ryan’s skills are vital to our commitment to bringing an awesome product to our customers. He’ll keep the Timely engine humming as well as addressing the many feature requests that come in from around the world.
When Ryan is not creating kick-ass features on our app, he can be found out mountain biking or running. In fact, there are even rumblings of training for a marathon in the future.
