Major Feature Release

02 April

  • Part Pay service with Laybuy now available!
    • It is now possible to subscribe to Laybuy as your part pay service with Timely. More information can be found here :

06 April

  • TimelyPay V1 Beta in AU is now officially up and running!
    • We have a released a new payment service for online booking for a few customers in Australia. This will roll out more broadly over the course of this month
    • Customers will be able to easily add themselves as a merchant
    • Clients can enter their Credit Card details when making a deposit or buying a Gift Voucher seamlessly using online booking

  • Pin switching released to all customers!
    • Beta period is now complete and all customers can use the pin switching feature
    • Quickly switch users by using a pin entry login screen
    • Improve your security by locking Timely when you're not at the computer

  • SMS campaigns now available to businesses in Canada!
    • Canadian businesses can now use our SMS campaigns as well to communicate with their clients.

03 April

  • Improving the Online Booking turned off page
    • Added the ability for businesses to add their own custom message to the page
    • Cleaning up the styling
    • Add buttons to purchase gift vouchers if the business has them available to purchase online
  • Addition of more recommendation alerts on the Gift Voucher setup page
    • This provides more contextual messages to help people setting up Gift Vouchers, specifically recommendations to allow selling custom gift vouchers online when they have a gateway already setup.

    • The Android App is now completely updated where all the core features of the App are available to use in a user friendly environment!

  • Rewards : Gift Vouchers (GV) and store credit (SC) now collects points when applied to sale
    • Previously, GV and SC sales do not collect points. Now we have updated it so that the client collects points when they use their GV/SC on the sale.

  • Rewards history now available on client profile
    • We now display the client's history on rewards. This info will be particularly valuable when points are being adjusted, as we display the reason for the adjustment. This should also provide our customers with confidence that the points system is doing what it should be.

Bug Fixes

03 April

  • Bugfix for preventing bookings inside the business lead time
    • This was where if the business had it set that clients can only book up to 6 hours before the appointment time, and the client started the online booking flow 6 hours and 1 minute before the booking start time but it was less than 6 hours before the start date by the time they came to confirm the booking we would incorrectly let the booking come through.
  • Fix up the notification indicator on mobile
    • In the responsive view at mobile sizes we have made the notification counter more easily visible and shows on top of the users avatar.
    • Adding a class defaulting to the first class but not with the right duration
      • This was a bug where the add a class modal was incorrectly defaulting to having the first class in the list being selected, but not defaulting the rest of the fields to match that class. This fix takes it back to the correct behaviour of not having a particular class selected by default, then once a class is specifically chosen the defaults come in correctly

  • Issue Setting Up Online Payment Gateway Integrations
    • We released a fix for an issue with our online payment gateway integrations that has been preventing businesses from setting up online payment gateways with third party platforms from the Add ons page. With this fix, businesses should now be able to set up their online payment gateways with third party platforms like before.

16 April

  • Fixed Rewards permissions so staff can see Rewards tab
    • There was a bug when a business owner gives login access to their staff, that staff loses access to view Rewards tab in the Customer tab. We've fixed that now so that if a business has Rewards enabled, all staff with login access can see Rewards tab.
  • Statement Descriptor Showing Timely for TimelyPay Businesses
    • We fixed the issue with the statement descriptor on clients’ credit card statements, so it now shows the business' name instead of Timely when a payment has been made using TimelyPay.

20 April

  • Lock icon displaying incorrectly on the mobile version
    • The lock icon that enables pin switching was displaying incorrectly when viewing Timely mobile version.
  • Lock screen not refreshing when logging out of Timely in another tab
    • We fixed a pin switching bug where if you logged out of Timely in another tab, the pin entry screen would not refresh. This meant that you would be unexpectedly sent to the login page when entering a pin.

28 April

  • SMS replies not matching to business
    • This bug meant that SMS replies did not get associated the a business ID, which meant that these replies did not go back to the business. Fixed the issue so SMS replies will now work as expected.
