Luminosa is a beauty salon in Queensland that specialises in spray tanning and makeup. Ellie, the owner of Luminosa, opened the salon’s doors in 2012 after she found that making people feel better about themselves through beauty products was something she was passionate about. Luminosa recently switched to Timely from their paper diary and pen system so that Ellie can focus more on her clients and less on managing her bookings.

“I’ve always loved make up and being creative,” says Ellie. “Luminosa gives me the opportunity to do what I love every day and lift people up, build confidence, and empower others in the process.” With Timely, Ellie is able to focus on doing those things while the bookings, reminders, and reports are all handled by the system.

“Timely has definitely allowed me to be more organized and efficient, as well as getting with the times,” says Ellie. “I also love the reports feature, which has given me a greater understanding of my business and where I am at, what needs to be worked on, etc.”

The transition to Timely was easy

Luminosa was previously using a pen and diary method to handle their bookings. At first, Ellie was hesitant to switch from this method to Timely because she isn’t technologically inclined, but she found the the process to be smooth and easy. “The user interface is so user friendly, and there is so much support,” says Ellie.

“Timely is so user friendly and there is so much support.”

“You feel so welcomed and customer service is huge for me, so I was very happy from day one,” she adds.

Ellie’s favourite Timely feature is the online booking button, which allows Luminosa to take bookings from clients anywhere at any time.

“It links straight up to my Facebook Page which is where most of my traffic comes from, and all of my clients love the feature,” notes Ellie. “It saves time on both ends and my customers can book outside of business hours and see exactly what’s available and what’s on offer.”
