The Timely team retreated to Queenstown for a few days to consolidate, learn and laugh at our annual Timely retreat.

Stop the bus

Building a world class company requires a world class team. A group of people that has passion and purpose and an innate desire to drive themselves further, faster, better than ever before. That lot up there is just that. Passionate, clever, committed and always reaching out just that bit extra to see what would happen if…

Innovation comes from a place of uncertainty but in order to ensure that what we are doing is scalable, we need to stop that bus, get off and have a bloody good look around at what we’ve done, how we’ve achieved it and where to next – so we did.

We ate, talked, laughed, schemed, played and learned. Oh and we also managed to nearly wet our pants :)jimmy-lol issy-neil jack-point

With our remote team of 27 living across different cities and even different time zones it was incredibly special to get 26 of us in one place to both build and cement the bonds that we have formed throughout the year. Team growth has exceeded 40% since this time last year and our getaway was a great chance to meet new faces, squish old ones and be inspired by the awesomeness that is the Timely talent machine.

I haven’t laughed so much in a long while! Most of all is the sense of pride I got from everyone as a team, this truly is a bunch of amazingly talented folks doing something awesome!

Yearly retreats enable us to learn about each other on a deeper level, delve deeper into our true passions, find common ground and leave feeling connected. Timely places a very high value on bringing all of yourself to your work. Family, hobbies and sports pursuits are all highly valued at Timely and our retreats enable us to show a little more of ourselves to each other, strengthening our ties and provide an ever important framework from which we build trust and confidence. A distinction that means you are valued for who you are and what you bring to not only the Timely table but also the world at large and to your little piece of that puzzle.
