Add multiple appointments to a single invoice
The techbots have just delivered another popular feature from our payment and invoicing roadmap. Lots of you wanted to invoice your customers less by combining multiple appointments into a single invoice.
We heard you and as of today, you can do this!
Here’s how to do it
Like everything we try to do with Timely, adding appointments to an invoice is super easy.
Just raise an invoice from the calendar as usual. Hopefully you’ve noticed the new button next to the Add product button called Add other appointments.
Click this and away we go!
At this point, Timely looks for all those past and future appointments for that customer where no invoices exist. This is important because if an invoice already exists for an appointment, it will not be included in the selection.
A brand new window pops up with a list of these appointments.
To select everything check the Select all box (at the top), otherwise scan down the list and check those invoices you want to combine.
Once you’re finished, click the Add to invoice button.
Boom! You’re done.
What happens now?
The original invoice will display all of those appointments you just selected. Just click Save and apply any payments as you normally would.
Timely will display the invoice symbol on all the appointments you just added and if you click the View invoice button on any of these appointments — the big new invoice will pop up.
Cool eh!
Have a go and let us know what you think in the comments below.
Next up
The techbots are adding invoicing for classes next. This is being worked on right now so stay tuned (but not for long)!

So excited this is the feature we have been anxiously looking forward to!!! May even start our invoicing early to play around with the new feature. :-) Thanks guys for all of your hard work!!!
Great to hear Rikki! Let us know if you have any feedback once you get stuck into it.
If you need more than 10 invoice line items please vote at this link. We are looking into this and will provide an update when this is ready.

This is wonderful thanks so much

Sounds like a really good addition but how will the affect users of Vend? We've been wanting to add different clients to the same transaction for a while. E.g. a mother/ daughter situation, where one pays for both appointments but they are booked under different names.
Caroline
Yes we would like the same, to be able to invoice multiple people on the one invoice, where one person pays for them and other family members.

Brilliant I've been waiting for this

Yes, agree with Sam & Caroline - often have family members who are paying multiple appointments for each other eg husband & wife, parents/children, grandparents etc - being able to put multiple invoices for different people on one payment would be GREAT! :)
Hi guys, handling relationships between customers and invoicing is coming. Right now, change the customer to whomever is paying when you first raise it.

I would like to be able to add a discount to the total services not each individual service, as it is time consuming when doing the sale, I have some clients that have multiple services with the same discount being a VIP or staff disc, let me know if this is possible?
Hi Caroline, you can apply a discount to the invoice total by clicking the scissor icon at the invoice total line. Hope this helps!

I would like to be able to add more than 10 services to one client, when I applied discounts to every service, it wouldn't allow me to finish, so I had to do manually and fix it up later so the client wasn't held up too long?
Hi Caroline, there is a limit to how many services you can add to an appointment. This will be increased at some point. Flick me an email at: [email protected] and we can discuss options.

When I originally commented I seem to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now whenever a
comment is added I receive four emails with the same comment.
There has to be an easy method you can remove me from that service?
Thanks!
Hi Todd, there will be an unsubscribe from blog comments at the bottom of each of those emails. If you still have a problem, flick an email to: [email protected]
