Good things come in small packages at Timely
Timely is constantly evolving and changing, all thanks to you. We're always looking for ways we can make your day run a little smoother, or make tweaks to the system that make it work better for you.
So, in the midst of all the ‘big stuff’ the Techbots are working on, they often release nifty features that fly below the radar in our changelog. We thought we’d give you a rundown of this morning’s latest stuff!
Temporary privacy setting
Temporarily hiding all customer names on the calendar is something we get asked about often, and now it’s as easy as hitting ‘B‘ on your calendar. This will blur all your customer names, showing only the appointment time and service. Check it out below!
Improvements to monthly view
Thanks to your feedback we realised it was difficult to see what day it was in the month view of the calendar. We’ve darkened up the current day, so you can see at a glance what day it is when looking at the whole month.
We also improved the calendar loading when you add an appointment in month view. Now the calendar will remember where in the month you were looking before you created or edited an appointment. Yippee!
Displaying customer’s age on their record
You can capture your customer’s birthday in Timely, so we’ve made it easier to work out their age. Just check out their customer record, and you’ll see it next to the date of birth field.
Show appointment statuses on customer record
We’ve also made it easier to see the status of appointments for each customer. Head to the Customers tab, and click Appointments to see whether the appointment is Completed, Cancelled or Did Not Show.
Including account owner in reports
It’s also now possible to filter your reports by the account holder. Often the account holder isn’t set up as a staff member, so you couldn’t view reports such as the Transaction Summary filtered by them.
Now you can filter the report by account holder too, so you’ll never miss a beat with your reporting.

Any sign of an end of day procedure and reporting.
Hey Ann!
Thanks for your comment - I'm afraid we haven't got anything to update you on regarding the end of day process just yet but we're still collecting feedback on how this process might look/work.
Make sure to add your vote and requirements to that feature here: http://feedback.gettimely.com/forums/161498-feedback-for-timely/suggestions/4526523-end-of-day-report-cash-up-procedure
Thanks again, Ann! :-D

Fabulous, great work!

is there a link to check howling ago a client came for a service
Hey Astridah, that's a great question! :-)
You can see when a customer last had an appointment and which service was included in that appointment using the Calendar sidebar.
We've got some more information on how that works in this blog post.

I'm thrilled with Timely and all the advances they are making. I have worked with two other major beauty software programs; they were dearer and I never got the incredible response to my queries I get from Timely staff. Often they would charge me extra for their error!
So 'good on you' to all the Techbots and Admin out there and I apologize if I've missed someone.
Thanks so much for your kind words, Judy!
We're so glad to hear you're having a great experience with Timely, the pleasure is all ours :-D

Any signs of getting a shortcut button to search available slots?
Hey Sahar, thanks for getting in touch!
I'm afraid we don't have an update on being able to search the Calendar just yet but make sure to add your vote to that request to be kept in the loop with any updates. :-)

Hi there,
I`m on a trial of this software. I`ve being manage for ages to get a new one and after months of search I decided to give timely a go. There are a few features I hoped the software to have like waiting list and a few other were missing when I compared many different softwares.
For now I just wonder if I don't really know how to use it or if the software only works that way. When adding quantity of products in stock once I click the number instead give me the possibility of just add more products to the existing number it actually changes page and opens the product description page. It would be much more efficient and faster to just add extra products on the same page instead have to open product by product to up date it.
I`ll be looking forward to hearing from you.
Kindly
Patricia

Hi Guys.
Nice work with all the little tweaks .. One thing we would love to see happen if we can make one staff member's calender private so other staff members are not able to see or access each others calender.
Hope its on the horizons.
Cheers
Sam
Hi Sam, thanks for your comment! It is currently possible to restrict staff to only seeing their own calendars. Check out this guide on User Access in Timely for more. If you have any further questions just send them through to us at [email protected]
