Rachel Ah Kit, the owner of Bodyworks Massage Therapy, is truly passionate about helping people and making a difference to their lives through massage. In fact, it’s what gets her out of bed each and every day.

Bodyworks Massage was opened in 2010, and has since grown to include five staff. They use a variety of massage techniques; all with the intention of helping clients gain mobility, reduce pain or improve performance. Stress relief is also a big goal for many of their clients. Rachel is motivated by clients coming back and reporting that their pain is gone – it means her work is worthwhile!

After 18 years working in marketing, Rachel decided it was time to try something different. Eighteen months of massage training later, she bravely opened her own clinic. She is pretty savvy with different online solutions that are around for small business, and she was already using another system, Clickbook. But she was always on the lookout for something better. “When I was given the details for Timely via Twitter, I checked it out and was immediately impressed.” And so the Timely journey began.

Timely has a great user interface

One of the reasons that Rachel initially moved to Timely was because of how it looked. “Compared with Clickbook, it was so easy. It had a much cleaner interface, and learning how to use it was a piece of cake”. Since then, Rachel says that training new staff to use the system is a breeze.

The online booking is superb for business

Timely really is a great business solution for Rachel and Bodyworks Massage. She says her clients can book online “anywhere, anytime”, and there is no more playing phone tag trying to set up appointments. The automated reminders mean that no-shows are very rare, and she can sync her bookings on the run with her personal calendar. “No matter where I am, I can see at a glance what I’ve got on that day, or that week.”

“Timely acts as my clinic receptionist – taking new bookings, reminding clients of their appointments, and allowing them to change appointments if necessary. And all when it suits them. I don’t need to be available for them to do any of this.”

Rachel swears that Timely has allowed her to scale and grow her business with ease. “If I relied on phone bookings, I wouldn’t be booked out like I am.”

Timely listens to you

Rachel was one of the early adopters, and has been with Timely ever since. In those early stages, she was invited to give feedback on how the system could be improved. She was blown away at the speed in which her suggested features were rolled out. While Rachel acknowledges that since Timely has grown, the pace of new features is not quite so rapid, she likes the way that:
