Saving time and reducing stress with Timely

Posted by Alex Davies-Parmenter

Mark Palmer was always interested in the physical structure of the human body having grown up with a doctor for a father. He would often read his books in his study, and has also had his fair share of injuries over the years. It’s no surprise that he trained in Bowen therapy and kinesiology to help others achieve balance.

Saving time and reducing stress with Timely

After operating a successful clinic in Cairns for nearly a decade, Mark returned to New Zealand and set up Bowenz – Therapy for Balance in Christchurch. He made the move to Timely and has never looked back!

The setup process was simple

Before making the move to Timely, Mark wasn’t using any appointment scheduling software. He was booking his appointments using his Outlook calendar. The move to Timely instantly upgraded his business. His clients love the online booking system and receiving the reminder SMS and email reminders. Mark loves that it was such a small commitment to set up but has given him a huge return – in time, money and reduced stress.

Timely is just like a receptionist

Mark refers to Timely as his receptionist – it takes care of all the things that a receptionist would normally take care of, but he couldn’t justify hiring one for his business. Timely sends out reminders to clients, saving Mark hours of time by not having to play phone tag. The reporting side of Timely means he knows what is going on at all times by the click of a button, and his invoicing is also taken care of.

“Timely has saved me a significant amount of time and given my business a professional look and feel.”

Online booking has increased clients

Mark loves the online booking feature of Timely. He is adamant that online booking brings in business that he otherwise wouldn’t be getting. His clients are always making comments on how easy it is for them to use.

“The best thing about Timely is the amount of time it has saved me.”

It’s not just about making life easier for the clients though. Mark found that he was missing a lot of calls during the day when he was seeing to clients, so he would have to return all phone calls at the end of every day. After that, it was a case of phone or message tag, trying to find an appointment time that suited both Mark and his client. Directing them to online booking is the best option for all parties, saving Mark hours of time each month.

And that’s what it’s all about – finding tools to make your job easier.
